Before becoming Jack Frost he lived in a small village with his mother, sister, and often absent father. Jack was a large favorite within his hometown and loved by many. Things soon took a turn when he took his little sister out to go ice skating.
When they were in the middle of the frozen pond he and his younger sister found that the ice was too thin to be skating on.
He drowned in the freezing lake after saving his younger sister only to be summoned into the waking world by the man in the moon.
